Vikki N. Spruill, President and CEO of The Ocean Conservancy and former director of the Philanthropy Awareness Initiative (PAI), launched FoundationWorks together with co-founder Lynne C. Murphy, a strategic communications consultant working solely with nonprofit and public sector clients. Before joining the Ocean Conservancy in 2006, Spruill was the founding President of SeaWeb, a communications-based ocean conservation nonprofit. The PAI was managed by Hollis A. Hope, Managing Director of SeaWeb. FoundationWorks extends the learning from SeaWeb across the spectrum of social issues.
